BDO strategically decided to outsource specific segments of their IT operations, particularly 2nd and 3rd level support, to CONVOTIS, a renowned outsourcing partner. A key component of this partnership was the migration of part of the on-premises data center to the Microsoft Azure Cloud, along with the renewal of critical parts of the network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi and firewall.
This partnership focused on the implementation of CONVOTIS’ Digital Workplace solutions, which are based on Microsoft 365, including Azure Virtual Desktop, Intune, and Teams. A significant aspect of this cooperation was the partially outsourced Service Desk, which provides 24/7 support for business-critical services and 8/5 support for other areas to ensure a continuously seamless IT operation.
The collaboration enabled BDO Austria to receive ongoing support in the areas of Microsoft 365 and network solutions, while the adoption of Microsoft 365 significantly improved internal collaboration and communication at BDO Austria, in turn leading to increased productivity.
By outsourcing certain IT functions to CONVOTIS, BDO Austria was able to focus more intensely on its core business while benefiting from a modernized IT infrastructure and optimized IT operations.
