Direct Connection

A client can connect directly to hosts that are located in different locations (third-party networks). All TCP-enabled applications (for example, RDP, FTP, SAP, ERP, SQL, etc.) can be used via the established connection.

Only an internet connection is required.

What makes this direct SSL3 / TLs encrypted connection special is that the firewalls of the networks are always closed and the direct portstreaming at the application level.

1. Remote maintenance access to machines and devices

The client uses the Application Remote Desktop or VNC and accesses remote machines or devices for maintenance purposes.
The machines / devices do not have a fixed IP address.
Thus access with VPN would be impossible.

Client: remote maintenance software client (e.g., Remote Desktop or VNC)
Host: Remote Desktop or VNC Server


2. Remote access to the accounting system

The accountant is responsible for the revision of the accounting on the accounting server of various clients.

Client: Accounting software client (e.g. Topal)
Host: The customers accounting server

3. Data exchange with Fileserver

For secure access and data exchange with an FTP server.

Client: Windows Explorer (e.g. FTP folder)
Host: FTP server

4. Data exchange with measuring stations

Distributed measuring instruments deliver data to a central evaluation unit.

Client: evaluation software
Host: Meter (e.g. air quality, temperature)

5. Data transfer to the backup server

Data is transferred to the backup server several times a day.

Client: site server
Host: backup server

6. Cash register connection to a central SQL server

Outgoing goods are transferred directly from the POS to the SQL server in the control center. This means, that the current stock levels of the individual stores in the central office can be evaluated and measures (orders) triggered.

Client: cash register system / SQL server center
Host: cash desks at different locations (shops)
